The Continuation of Bobby D's Summertime Music Adventure.
Legends, a bar where look-alike country stars perform.
Watch out girlfriend, your bleach-blond hair is showing. I thought you wanted to remain anomymous?
Wow! something that reminds me of the old Nashville. "The Ernest Tub Record Shop" Just as it looked years ago not one thing changed inside or out. If you're in Nashville and looking for music from the past here's the place. Everything from soul to old school country. And the prices are from the past. This is a must see! if want to know how Nashville used to be. Literally hundreds of signed pictures of Country singers who have performed here in the past. The stage in the back of the store. That's Ernest Tubb in the photo at the upper left in the white hat, Hank Williams at the microphone and Dolly Parton right front, and Patsy Cline behind her. All have performed there. The first time I visted here Ernest Tubb was out front of the store on a stage with a new singer his name was Johnny Cash. Once the showplace of the "Grand Old Opry" now sits silent. The show has moved on to a larger more modern building. Some shows are still played here. It started here in 1925 on radio WSM, the building once a church. The last time I was here you had to get tickets one year in advance. My family stood on the steps looking in the door with a large crowd around us. It was in the July heat and there was no air-conditioning in the building, you could feel the heat pouring out the doors.
Stay tuned as Bobby D travel's on to his next music destination, Memphis Tennessee.
